USEFUL INFORMATION

Homestay families are available in almost all Japanese prefectures: request your ideal itinerary and we will check availability.

The trip can be a mix of homestay and stays at hotels, according to your preferences.

The Japanese families have all been carefully selected and are ordinary families who wish to have cultural exchanges with people from all over the world: they will be delighted to welcome you in their homes!

These are ordinary families, whose members have very normal lives, with work and daily commitments. Therefore, you will explore the various cities independently.

You will have your own private room in the host family house, with bed or futon (Japanese-style bedding), according to the habits of the family. The bathroom will be shared by all family members.

Travelers cannot choose their host families. The families are matched with the guests to ensure good compatibility between them.

The host families usually do not live in the city centers, where apartments tend to be small, but in the peripheral areas where the quality of life is better. Do not worry, as Japanese public transportation is widespread and extremely efficient: you will easily go anywhere. In large urban areas, such as Tokyo, Osaka or Kyoto, the average maximum distance between host families’ homes and the city center is around 60 minutes.
